Ingrid was my PA for 9 years, before I recently retired from my position as the Managing Director of one of UK’s largest privately owned Support Services companies. During that time I found an increasing need to be away from the office while still having to respond ever quickly to growing volumes of mail.

During this time and with technology improving, we worked remotely using the phone where appropriate but I would normally give all dictation and instruction using digital voice tapes e-mailed to Ingrid.

This allowed me to read my mail when traveling, record my response and forward when on my computer. Ingrid could then deal with the internal mail without further involvement with me or e-mail the tape back to me for checking, if necessary.
